Perfect Digital Photography
By tspore at 07/20/2009 - 22:43

Master the Art of Digital Photography is a book which in my opinion should be in every photographers library. It is written by 2 Olympus visionary photographers - Jay Dickman and Jay Kinghorn whom I have a huge respect for, and does on one level deal with the four thirds system but it isn't an apology (as in defense) for the system.

The first digital camera for everyone.
By tspore at 07/02/2009 - 08:26

Digital photography since 2002 has really changed in many ways. The entire industry has migrated from film to digital, with many being pulled in kicking and screaming. But I can say now we finally have a camera with something for everyone.

Studio / Master Update to include Art Filters
By tspore at 06/20/2009 - 22:20

Olympus Studio / Master with Art filter, and I Image processor V support.
I assume that it will be made avalible within a couple weeks, but for now you can download from here, please download the correct version, and unzip the file before using. :D For OSX the Master version is 2.2 and Studio version 2.3.
Oops ran out of bandwidth, so if you missed it, wait for Olympus to officially release it.
In addition to the new camera support, on OSX Studio seems much more stable.

E-3 Focusing Issues
By Richard Pavek at 05/25/2009 - 19:56

BLM-1There have been conflicting reports on focusing the E-3. Some owners reported problems while others couldn’t find any. A certain amount of bitterness ensued over this. Tony and I who use entirely different lens setups independently stumbled on the solution to the elusive problems.

The Game of "one ups"
By tspore at 04/18/2009 - 21:29

I really am always interested in seeing this game of "one ups," you know like when 2 kids sit and say, my Dad is bigger than your dad. Then the other child says, "Oh yea well, my dad's bigger than Shaq," and on and on they go. Next thing you know, one dad is taller than Mt. Everest. Over the last 5 years we have seen much of this with SLR cameras, which once were a simple instruments to capture our world have grown into complex computers with the ability to create the world they capture.

The Panasonic GH1 early thoughts
By tspore at 04/04/2009 - 19:54

I really appreciated the chance to hold and play with the GH1 at PMA, and over the last few weeks I have been spending much time thinking about that camera. It was like going on a first date, I played with it enough to get the basic functionality down,

A PMA interview with Mr. Watanabe
By tspore at 03/17/2009 - 07:12

I had the deep honor at PMA to interview Mr. Watanabe from Olympus Tokyo. It was a very enlightening experience, and now I feel that I know more deeply about the thinking process of Olympus and their view of the 4/3 system. We always have ground rules, and the biggest is Olympus will not make any comments about future products (which is a very understandable rule in my opinion). Also, I had a few Olympus Studio questions, but those will be answered by another interview at another junction later this year.
